Wellness

The Couch House Spa

Walking the path of wellness

Discover the healing atmosphere of our nurturing spa, designed with nature at its core by highly acclaimed contemporary artist, Brian Clark. A vibrant, enchanting place where dappled iridescent light from canopies of stained-glass ceilings dance on ceramic tiled walls, creating a radiant, colour-drenched indoor paradise designed to soothe the senses. Take a dip, or recline by the pool taking in the breathtaking views of the Surrey Hills, or unload those mid-week stresses with one of our specialist treatments.

The Pools

Enjoy balmy evenings relaxing in our outdoor pool, spend a tranquil hour or two doing laps in our 20-metre indoor pool where a scattering of cornflower insets on the pool floor create a magical effect of flowers bobbing on the water’s surface – or pay a visit to the children’s outdoor splash pool with the kids in tow.

Treatment Rooms

We have six treatment rooms in total including a Couples Suite, The Specialist Practitioner’s Room and 4 individual treatment rooms. Alongside this we also have a Beauty Room, Barber’s Salon and English Bath House. The English Bath House is influenced on the traditional Turkish Hammam Treatment and is an ideal precursor to all other treatments thanks to its purifying and relaxing qualities. The interiors are exquisitely designed by Brian Clarke, who took as visual inspiration flowering plants found on the estate to name each room; the rose, the daffodil, the primrose, the cherry blossom, wisteria, and the apple. Complementary stained-glass windows and mosaic roundels are paired with his watercolour paintings of each flower.

Thermal Spa

Our Thermal Spa makes use of the daylight from the glass ceiling above to create a natural, tranquil atmosphere. Here you can find a Jacuzzi set at 34°c, spacious steam room with 100% humidity, sauna, and ice fountain.

The Gym

The gym is light, spacious and modern, and is set up with the latest Technogym Artis equipment, ready for sessions of cardio, resistance and weight training, and stretching. Enjoy uninterrupted views of the Surrey Hills through large floor-to-ceiling windows, peruse wall art that pays tribute to the gymnasium’s Greek origins and showcases Olympic history, hero’s and poster memorabilia, and make use of out one-on-one personal training sessions for an extensive, tailored workout.

The Coach House Deli

From super-food salads and cold pressed juices to cakes and a delicious variety of flatbreads baked in our traditional wood-fired pizza oven, the menu at The Coach House Deli changes daily but always features fresh, seasonal ingredients, many of which are picked that very morning from our kitchen gardens. Conveniently located in the heart of The Coach House Spa, enjoy a poolside snack in the summer months or a pre or post-treatment snack all year round.
