Kimpton Blythswood Square
Glasgow Scotland
A landmark hotel in Scotland’s biggest, most vibrant city, Glasgow’s Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel is celebrated for its gorgeous Georgian architecture, superior service (everyone here is nice), recently renovated rooms, well-loved spa, unique event venues, and indulgent afternoon tea.
Glasgow
From the moment you pull up to the stately Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel, with its picturesque private gardens and classic Georgian townhouses, you’ll sense that you’re in for an unforgettable experience. Once home to wealthy merchants, the site later became headquarters for the Royal Scottish Automobile Club. After a multimillion-pound restoration, it’s now a 21st-century stunner that hasn’t lost any of its original charm. The five-star property continues to define Glaswegian luxury as the only hotel in the city with AA accreditation. Known for rooms that exude elegance, above-and-beyond service, and the Spa at Kimpton Blythswood Square, widely considered the “it” place to be in Glasgow, Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel continues to live up to the prestigious address its held since the early 19th century.

Food & Drink
Bo & Birdy at the Blythswood
Bo & Birdy is a modern brasserie re-imagined through a traditional Scottish lens.
Having had a complete refurbishment in 2018, Bo & Birdy quickly became the place to be seen in Glasgow. The menu is simple, vibrant, elegant and lets the ingredients do the talking. We celebrate the very best of Scotland’s larder and all it has to offer.
And the drinks are good too….The absolute must when visiting is The Bo & Birdy cocktail; the star of the show since day one. Pretty in pink and adorned with a peacock feather, there’s no shortage of glamour here.
The Salon
The Salon is an elegant spot for socializing and sipping, with a wide range of classic and inventive cocktails, liqueurs and digestifs, bottled beer and cider, and an extensive wine list. During afternoon tea on the weekends, sink into a Harris Tweed chair and delight in a mix of sweet and savory nibbles, complete with a view of the beautiful Blythswood Gardens
Wellness
At our one-stop station for relaxation, the Spa at Blythswood Square is a coveted reservation for both locals and hotel guests alike. With nine luxury treatment rooms, a thermal suite, two relaxation pools, a lounge and café area, and lots of tranquil guest areas in 10,000 square feet, the spa has something for everyone looking for a little rest and rejuvenation. We also offer a range of luxurious, holistic face and body treatments, individually designed, and perfected over the years.
Local Area
The location of the hotel means that it is an easy walk to Glasgow’s Style Mile, the best shopping area in the UK outside of London.
One of the best ways to explore the city is through the Glasgow Mural Trail. Glasgow has created the trail featuring a diverse range of art within easy walking distance of the hotel. The huge range of artwork on display has something to suit all tastes – conservative to radical, quirky to bizarre. Glasgow is proud of its installations and its artists, so we hope guests enjoy discovering these hidden public artworks.
