Il Pellicano’s
Michelin starred Chef Michelino Gioia relishes the bountiful produce of Italy giving individual ingredients due respect, allowing each to stride across your palate with pride.
Every morning fishermen present their catch at the kitchen door, lamb arrives from Tuscany,T Bone steaks from Chianina and Chef Gioia grazes the gardens for Mediterranean herbs. He will order in some of his favourite ingredients; pigeon, oyster, red mullet, blu lobster and shrimps; all will appear on the menu in gastronomic form.
Pelligrill Tuscan Grill
A breezy atmosphere infuses this favourite of the Port Ercole yachting set. The Pelligrill overlooks the pool terrace and blue seas, sunlight splashes through the shades, while colourful Lisa Corti settings are ready to frame something exquisitely delicious from the grill.
The menu exudes freshness, when a new ingredient arrives it is blazoned across the menu with relish such as Fracassi the king of Chianina steak. Catch of the day is prepared in a dozen delicious ways; raw with soy and ginger, or a tuna ventresca scattered over frisée lettuce, Tuscan Panzanella, clams tossed in homemade spaghetti, calamari crisply fried with a tandoori dip.
Bar All’Aperto
Bar All’Aperto is our terrace bar for lolling about above the view with something delicious, and Il Pellicano is our sophisticated piano bar.
Cocktail hour is anytime you wish at our very Italian quisibeve, Bar All’Aperto perched between sky and sea. Federico, our barman is a connoisseur’s mixologist with a personal library of recipes. He always swizzles in something from a local producer, the Pellicano Martini has a hint of Mandarinetto, his Aperol Spritz has a dash of Elisir di Chino, he has written a book of recipes based on the local liquor Santa Maria Novella.
Bar Roberto
At Bar Roberto piano notes drift on the night air, legends and royalty who have loved this hotel, casually captured in photography, remain a vivid part of the evening.
Friends toast eachother with Franciacorta del Bosco before browsing the Libro di Vino, a weighty volume with 1,700 labels. It is a trove of Italian flavours; Morellino, Vermentino and the Super Tuscans, Masseto or Sassicaea. Of course there is a fine stock of Lafitte and Petrus. The wine cellar can be reserved for tastings, always an engaging hour for connoisseurs and the curious.

The Pelliclub is a delightful place to visit with friends for joyful therapy with an iced cocktail and laughter, somewhere to feel beautiful even before the treatment begins.
Our Pelliclub Director Sandra promises an experience more than skin deep, more about the ‘touch than the cream’, with her team of expert, intuitive therapists.
The ‘cream’ is the pure Italian range, Santa Maria Novella who have been creating natural beauty products since 1612. They cultivate their ingredients on 15,000 sqm gardens above Florence; where lotions are made from iris, rose and broom to refresh, peppermint to soothe and aloe vera to replenish.
There is a caldarium to soothe muscles and lithe limbs, four treatment rooms with private showers, including one for couples. The beauty parlour offers a complete service from manicure to coiffure.
Fitness
The sunrise over Il Pellicano’s silent bay is a life enhancing moment, pay it due honour in our yoga class by the sea. Taughten and tighten tums on the paddleboards, balance and strength are enhanced the moment you step onto a board, an excellent core workout.
The great Italian landscaper, Paolo Pejrone, framed the tennis courts in a march of cypress trees, offering players some shade in the morning sun.
The brand new indoor/outdoor state-of-the-art gym includes a complete set-up for fitness activities and is outfitted with the latest in Technogym equipment.
Beach Club and Pool
There’s an elevator slipping up and down the cliffside to the water’s edge, the esplanade trimming Il Pellicano’s private bay is painted a spanking white, since the grey granite was a little hot underfoot, and attendants are on hand to polish your sunglasses, they tend to get misty with the sun cream. This is our sprezzatura, the effort concealed, the attention so utterly gracious.
Our juice bar offers refreshment with powerfully beneficial recipes such as a maqui berry and blueberry infused Rejuvenat, for anti-aging, or Liquid Gold, an antioxidant infused with banana and saffron.
Drop off your boat to our private pier, waterski, paddle board, or snorkel over the pristine underwater landscape. Or simply lie in the warm sun watching the ripples on the sea, perfecting the art of farniente.
