Wynn Big at the Encore

September 15th 2014
  • After a long flight I arrived exhausted to our partner hotel The Wynn and after a short night’s sleep wandered down from my room at 4am for a coffee. Vegas is a very strange world at that time of the morning and I found it greatly entertaining watching people piling out of XS nightclub into the casinos.

The Wynn and Encore are 2 towers interconnected by a walkway which contains top designer stores and, as you’d expect, the hotels have got it all going on! It doesn’t appear that one is better than the other and as a guest in one hotel, you have access to everything in both including the Encore Beach Club.

My room faced away from the strip and while writing this blog I was able to watch the sun come up from behind a mountain plus the added spectacle of distant lightning. Obviously there are lots of amazing shows in Vegas but I found that pretty cool for a freebie!

Not much else, however, is free in Vegas. If you aren’t staying in one of the Tower Suites, breakfast is not included (as in most U.S. Hotels). However, in-room breakfast is added if you do stay in one of the suites. Or, as Wynn and Encore are part of the Virtuoso benefits program for which Protravel Agents get access to (Limelight is a Protravel Agent)  it can be booked with the following exclusive benefits (available at time of writing)

    • Upgrade on arrival to next room category, subject to availability
    • A $30 per person breakfast credit per day
    • A $50.00 USD Resort Credit & $50 Spa Credit, once per stay
    • Early check-in/late check-out subject to availability

Tips are to be expected in the States (and nowhere more so than Vegas)  from tipping your taxi or Limo driver to greasing the palm of the guy who delivers  luggage or food to your room so it’s always worth carrying spare dollars.

Encore and Wynn play host to some of the biggest nights out in Vegas whether in their nightclubs or theatres.
You can also have a cocktail on the Vegas style Lake on the Lake of Dreams

All in all, you have everything you could ever want or need at the Wynn & Encore…lets just hope you don’t spend all your wynnings at the Casino!
