New York New York
I was lucky enough to be invited to stay at the Standard High Line to really experience the property first hand for Limelight members. The hotel is located right on the Hudson River in the meat packing district giving it incredible views from the bedrooms. The hotel has a real party vibe about it and is clearly the hub of the nightlife in Meat Packing. It’s well known throughout the city for the views from the bar in the Top of The Standard aka ‘Boom Boom Room’ as well as their local hang out Biergarten. Hotel guests must walk the High Line as it is a great way to see the beautiful sights of the Lower West side. Check out this hotel if you want to play bit of Ping Pong (or beer pong) with your friends in the day and party with the VIP’s at night.
The Loews Regency
Arriving at the Loews is a completely different experience to arriving at The Standard. Located on the Upper East Side, it has a real feel of elegance and classic style whilst remaining very welcoming.
Rooms are a great size with lots of space and the beds are particularly comfy!
The hotel is also a very short walk to the main shopping area of Bloomingdales, Tiffany’s as well as Central Park. The hotel have also teamed up with Fiat cars, allowing them to offer guests complimentary car services around the city which is an excellent touch. Really good for families and friends who want a relaxed New York experience in a great location.
The Surrey Hotel – Our latest hotel partner…
Also located on the Upper East Side, The Surrey Hotel is pure luxury and very modern at the same time. As you enter the hotel, you’re met by a giant painting of Kate Moss in the lobby. The tribute to art and local fashion businesses helps to maintain a really cool vibe around the hotel. The rooms are fantastic and designed with style and luxury in mind. Some also have views of the park. The real special thing about this hotel though is the rooftop bar. Open only for hotel guests, its such a rarity on the Upper East Side! Grab a coffee here in the morning or head up at sunset for cocktails.
