Un Piano Nel Cielo
Our gourmet restaurant Un Piano Nel Cielo – whose apt name translates to mean “a floor in the sky” – owes much to the Amalfi Coast’s natural bounty. Not only does the surrounding landscape yield much of the produce that makes its way the kitchen, but it also provides the knockout sea, sky and coastal views visible from the restaurant’s top-floor terrace. Large wall-span windows in the indoor dining space ensure that all guests, whether eating al fresco or not, can also enjoy the dramatic coastal scenery.
Menus at Un Piano Nel Cielo take a seasonal slant and borrow from the rich cultural tradition of Campania, with our Chef sourcing the bulk of his produce locally to be used in reimagined classic dishes. With the bountiful waters of the coast a literal stone’s throw away, fish naturally takes pride of place, with everything from tender sautéed squid to lobster spaghetti showing up on the menu. The best cuts of locally sourced meat are also well-represented in carefully considered dishes such as pistachio-crusted rack of lamb and Marsala-marinated beef. Multi-course tasting menus serve as a platform for the kitchen team to showcase their culinary vision with vegetarian tasting menu options available for non-meat eaters. Sommeliers are also on-hand to help diners pick the perfect accompaniment from the extensive collection of Italian and international wines.
Wine Cellar
Amassed by our experienced sommelier for Un Piano Nel Cielo restaurant and reinvigorated with additions on a regular basis, our wine collection features 3,000-plus bottles representing some 600 wine labels. It includes top vintages from well-known Italian producers as well as rarer bottles from under-the-radar regional winemakers.
While Italian wines dominate the selection, international producers are also represented with a particularly strong showing of French winemakers and an interesting selection of bottles from emerging regions and soon-to-be-discovered appellations. Bubbles, both of French and Italian origins, also abound and include our own proprietary Casa Angelina Champagne brut and rose. Produced for us by renowned French winemaker Pierre Mignon, our Casa Angelina champagne is served upon arrival to all diners in our Un Piano Nel Cielo restaurant – our way of saying benvenuto! Our sommelier will be happy to help you navigate our extensive wine selection. Should you want to delve even deeper into our pile of pours, we can arrange for a wine tasting session and for customized wine pairings to accompany your dinner, based on your personal preferences.
Seascape C0cktail Bar
Our on-site bar promises world-class cocktails and majestic views. Some of the most popular seats are to be found on the bar’s cliff-edge terrace, which is furnished with a smattering of teak tables and sun-shading umbrellas, and provides prime vantage points for cocktail sipping while soaking up the exquisite coastal vistas. Our expert bartenders Fabio and Alessio look locally for inspiration, mixing together refreshing concoctions such as the Limonce Mojito, a play on the classic mojito featuring white run, Amalfi Coast limoncello liqueur, lemon juice, mint, sugar and soda.
Aperol spritz, another classic Italian aperitivo, is also given a twist with our own propriety Casa Angelina Champagne (a blend made by Pierre Mignon) providing the fizz.
Seascape’s cigar selection, which features Cubans such as Habanos Cohiba 52, Cohiba 21 and Partacas, alongside our selection of vintage Italian grappas, rums, whiskey and cognacs as well as delectable chocolates from Tuscan artisans Amedei and the Parisian Patisserie Angeline, provide guests with some rather tempting after-dinner options too.

Local Area
Amalfi Coast
Just around the corner from Naples, this 43-mile stretch of indented, cliff-lined coastline is blessed with beauty of the soul-stirring variety. Here, dizzyingly steep mountains meet the glittering Mediterranean resulting in sheer sea cliffs, which serve as the improbable setting for picturesque seaside settlements. Casa Angelina is located in Praiano, an authentic gem in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, about mid-way between the more heavily-visited towns of Positano and Amalfi. Use our hotel as your base and you’ll have all the delights of the region, from romantic mountaintop Ravello to the winding hiking trails of the backcountry, within reach.
Praiano
Our home base, Praiano is a modest-sized, low-key fishing village where whitewashed buildings cling to the cliffs, about midway between the more tourist-heavy towns of Positano and Amalfi. Once a hub for silk production and a favored getaway for the medieval Amalfi dukes, Praiano is steeped in local history.
Positano
The beach resort town of Positano Ð just 15 minutes from Praiano – was just a quiet fishing village until John Steinbeck shone a spotlight on it in a 1953 article for Harper’s Bazaar and travelers began to take note. A photogenic sprawl of sun-faded buildings set on a steep slope that tumbles down to the shore, Positano is an easy place to fall for.
Amalfi
A pretty resort town neatly sandwiched between the mountains and the sea, it’s hard to believe that photogenic Amalfi was once HQ for a powerful medieval maritime empire. A mere 25-minute drive from Praiano, it is one of the busiest and most bustling towns on the coast.
Ravello
Perched more than 1,100 feet above sea level atop a mountain crag, this elegant pedestrianized town oozes romance, wooing goggle-eyed visitors with its gorgeous gardens and sensational views.
